Welcome to Montpelier Surgery
We are confident that our website will provide clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything, from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.
Important information about the coronavirus (COVID-19)
The NHS will be better prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases, if the public follows Public Health England advice.
The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff which may mean your patient experience is subject to change.
The Chief Medical Officer announced on Friday 13 March that the country is moving into the ‘Delay’ stage of the response to coronavirus (Covid-19).
The new advice issued by the Chief Medical Officer is to stay at home for 7 days if you have either:
- a high temperature or
- a new continuous cough
Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or a hospital. You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you're staying at home.
Use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service if:
- you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home • your condition gets worse • your symptoms do not get better after 7 days
Only call 111 if you cannot get help online.
Stay At Home advice can be found here.
Everyone is being reminded to follow Public Health England advice to:
- Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze. Then bin the tissue, and wash your hands, or use a sanitiser gel.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after using public transport. Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.
Information remains subject to regular change and updates. More information can be found on the NHS website here.
MONTPELIER SURGERY REGRETS THAT IT IS NOT AT PRESENT ABLE TO REGISTER NEW PATIENTS.
DUE TO THE RETIREMENT OF DR JESSICA CRAMP ON 31.10.2019 WE HAVE APPLIED TO THE CQC TO CHANGE THE REGISTERED MANAGER TO DR THOMAS GAYTON.
Patient Participation Group
We are especially keen to make sure that the group is fully representative of our patients and therefore invite anyone with an interest to enquire about joining.
We anticipate that the group will meet around 3 times a year, but arrangements will also be made for members of the group who are not able to attend in person, but feel that they would like to contribute.
Simply send your e mail address via the feedback on this website form to the surgery and you will be added to the distribution list or pop into the surgery and speak to the reception staff.

Patient Online: Records Access
Montpelier Surgery is planning to offer our patients the facility to view parts their GP medical record online by 31st March 2016. Patients will be able to view this information by logging onto an online account. This will be the same online account which some patients already use to book appointments and order repeat medication.
If you are not yet registered to use our online services (SystmOnline) please come into the practice with photographic ID and an account will be created for you.
Electronic Prescription Service
The surgery is now using the Electronic Prescription Service. Patients wishing to use this service will need to nominate a pharmacy.
