Health Care Assistant
Ruth Barber holds clinics on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings to take
blood, blood pressures, new patient medicals and some dressings. May we remind
you that blood tests have to be done in the morning in order that they can
reach the hospital the same day. Please enquire at reception for an appointment.
District Nurses
Sister Diane Pearson manages a team of district nurses who will visit you at home if necessary. The team are based at Prestamex House, 171-173 Preston Road, Brighton, Telephone 545720. Health Visitors
Mrs Terry
Ragbourne and Ms Sally Haysler are trained to help and advise mothers of young
children and also the chronically sick and their carers. Telephone 728281
(24 hour answerphone system for messages).
Midwife
The practice has links with a midwife who looks after pregnant women through antenatal appointments for regular check-ups and who continues to care for them and their babies immediately after delivery. The midwife is based at the Tarner Children's Centre, Ivory Place, Brighton,Telephone 01273 296700.
Medical
Students
From time to time we have medical students attending
the surgery who will be sitting in with the doctors. You will be informed of this
when you attend for your appointment and the docror will ask you if you would mind a student being present.
